At Evolve Physical Therapy, we take a different approach to orthopedic physical therapy.
We don't just treat where it hurts.
We figure out WHY it hurts, treat the problem, and build your body back stronger.
Every appointment is a 60-minute, one-on-one session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy—with no double booking and no bouncing between multiple patients.

Don't see your condition listed?
If pain, weakness, stiffness, or an injury is keeping you from doing what you want to do, there's a good chance we can help.
We Don't Just Treat the Pain. We Find the Root Cause.
Where you hurt isn't always where the problem starts.
Knee pain may be influenced by hip strength or ankle mobility.
Shoulder pain may involve how your shoulder blade, spine, and upper body move together.
Recurring back pain may require more than stretching and temporary pain relief.
That's why we evaluate the whole person—not just the painful body part.
We look at your:
- Mobility
- Strength
- Movement patterns
- Joint function
- Muscle function
- Stability and control
- Training and exercise habits
- Sport or activity demands
- Previous injuries
Then we build your treatment around what your body actually needs.
Physical Therapy Should Be More Than a Few Exercises and a Heat Pack
At Evolve, treatment is active, individualized, and designed to progress with you.
Your sessions may combine:
Hands-On Treatment
Your therapist may use:
- Manual therapy
- Dry needling
- Cupping
- Soft tissue work
- Joint mobilization
- Assisted stretching
- Mobility techniques
Strength & Movement
Then we address the reason you're there in the first place.
Depending on your goals, that may include:
- Mobility training
- Strength training
- Weight training
- Progressive loading
- Balance and stability
- Functional movement
- Running progression
- Sport-specific training
- Return-to-gym programming
- Injury prevention strategies
Everything is included in your visit.
There aren't separate charges for dry needling, cupping, manual therapy, or the treatment techniques your physical therapist believes will help you.
We Want You Stronger Than When You Walked In
Getting you out of pain is important.
But that's not where rehabilitation should stop.
If your goal is to return to running, eventually we need to run.
If you want to return to lifting weights, eventually we need to lift.
If you want to get back on the field, court, golf course, or pickleball court, your body needs to be prepared for those demands.
That's why our approach bridges the gap between traditional physical therapy and strength, performance, and real life.
We don't want you leaving PT thinking:
"I hope this doesn't happen again."
We want you leaving knowing your body is stronger, more capable, and better prepared for what you ask it to do.
What Makes Evolve Different?
60 Minutes. One Patient. One Doctor of Physical Therapy.
No double booking.
No spending 15 minutes with your therapist and the rest of your appointment on your own.
Your entire session is dedicated to you.
Hands-On Care + Exercise
You shouldn't have to choose between hands-on treatment and strengthening.
We use both when appropriate.
Hands-on treatment can help address pain and movement limitations while progressive exercise helps build the capacity your body needs for long-term success.
Treatment Designed Around YOUR Goals
We don't believe everyone with knee pain needs the same three exercises.
Your treatment is based on your body, your symptoms, and what you want to accomplish.
Strength Training Is Part of Rehab
We have the equipment—and the expertise—to progressively challenge you.
As you improve, your treatment progresses with you.
No Cookie-Cutter Treatment Plans
Two people can have the same diagnosis and need completely different treatment.
That's why every plan is individualized.
Our Simple 3-Step Process
1. Find the Root Cause
We evaluate the entire body, not just where you're hurting, to determine what may be contributing to your symptoms.
2. Treat the Problem
We'll combine targeted hands-on treatment with individualized mobility, strength, and movement training to address what we find.
3. Build Your Toolbox
We'll progressively prepare your body for the activities you love and give you the tools, strength, and confidence to help reduce the likelihood of the problem continuing to hold you back.
Recovery Is Included
Your treatment doesn't have to end when your 60-minute PT session does.
After your appointment, you have complimentary access to our Recovery Room.
Relax and recover with:
Red Light Therapy
Supports circulation and may help with exercise recovery and inflammation.
Normatec Compression Boots
Dynamic compression promotes circulation and can help reduce temporary muscle soreness, swelling, and that tired, heavy feeling in your legs.
Heat Therapy
Relax, unwind, and allow tight muscles to loosen up after your treatment or workout.
Recovery Room access after your PT visit is complimentary.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy FAQs
Do I need a referral for physical therapy?
North Carolina allows patients to access physical therapy directly in many circumstances. If you're unsure whether you need a referral based on your particular situation, contact us and we'll help you determine the appropriate next step.
How long are appointments?
Every orthopedic physical therapy appointment is 60 minutes, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
We don't double-book patients.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
We'll discuss what's bothering you, what you've tried, and what you want to get back to doing. Your physical therapist will then evaluate relevant mobility, strength, movement, and functional factors to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Do you offer dry needling?
Yes. Dry needling may be incorporated into your physical therapy session when appropriate. We also offer targeted dry needling follow-up visits for $99.
Do you work with athletes?
Yes. We work with active adults, recreational athletes, runners, lifters, and people looking to safely return to sports and exercise after pain or injury.
Do you only treat athletes?
Not at all.
You don't have to be an athlete to want to move without pain.
Whether your goal is getting back to the gym, playing with your kids, gardening, working comfortably, walking without pain, or simply feeling like yourself again, we'll build your treatment around that goal.
What if I've already tried physical therapy?
That's okay.
If your symptoms haven't improved, or improved temporarily and returned, we'll take a fresh look at the problem, including factors outside the painful area that may be contributing.
Do you accept insurance?
Evolve is an out-of-network practice. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement depending on your insurance coverage.
HSA and FSA funds are accepted.
Ready to Feel Like Yourself Again?
You don't need to wait until your symptoms become severe.
Let's figure out what's going on and create a plan to help you move forward.
